We welcomed Shiplify into The Lumberyard Office Lofts at the end of February and we are happy they chose our space for their corporate headquarters. Shiplify started up three years ago in its previous office off Howell Mill Road in Atlanta, and needed room to grow.
According to to Dyrc McLeod, CFO and Co-Founder of Shiplify, the company, which creates innovative solutions for LTL carriers, was looking for more space, wanted to stay in the area and didn’t want to move downtown. “The Lumberyard fit our needs perfectly,” said Dyrc. “We love having a restaurant right here, the courtyard area is very nice and we like the convenient parking situation. It was an easy move and Allen with EpiCity has helped us make it a smooth transition.”
Shiplify has 3,000 square feet, with three offices, a conference room, a large room for interns, and a little kitchen – plus space to grow. It is less than a mile from their old space, and has all the conveniences nearby that they had before, without the unwanted foot traffic and with the added bonus of free parking. Before the new space, they had grown to the point of having three people working from one conference room table. With five full-time employees and 12 part-time interns from Georgia State and Georgia Tech, they now have comfortable space for everyone.
