Key Advantages of Doing Business in a Business Park

A business park is defined as an area of land in which many office buildings are grouped together. Business parks have become most popular in suburban locations where land values are lower. As a result, most business parks are improved with only single-story buildings. They are traditionally located near highways and main roads for optimal mobility of staff and materials.

EpiCity’s Powers Ferry and Curie Drive properties are popular business parks. The Powers Ferry Business Park occupies more than 26 acres having over 262,000 rentable square feet (RSF).  The 225 Curie Drive business park, located in Windward Business Park, Alpharetta, has 30,000 RSF with similar amenities. Both properties feature exceptional access to major thoroughfares and interstate highways.

Amenities include drive-in doors, wide truck courts, plenty of convenient parking, easy access to major expressways, and close proximity to housing, banks, restaurants, and shopping.

Additional features include beautiful landscaping and outdoor seating perfect for enjoying your lunch or bringing your work outside on a sunny Georgia day. We’d like to introduce you to two of our business park residents, Alpha Elements and Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc.

Alpha Elements Enjoys Flex Space in Powers Ferry Business Park

Alpha Elements opened their offices in Powers Ferry Business Park late last summer.  Ron Yung, President, says they chose Powers Ferry Business Park because of the flex space.  “The flex space really sold us,” said Ron.  “The space gives us room to have our inventory right here and allows us to manage and control our inventory onsite.  We have the unit in the corner which is nice because it gives us more windows. EpiCity has been good to work with and Tom (Stokes) is a super cool guy. In fact, everyone has been really nice and helpful.”

Alpha Elements has the look and feel of a loft office space with LED lighting and exposed concrete floors with the amenities of flex space, which is exactly what they wanted for their headquarters.

On any given day there may be 25 employees in and out of the space, and the office is the permanent workspace for three full-time employees. The Atlanta office serves Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Virginia.

The company’s focus is insulating and ventilating homes.  According to Ron, the company works from the top down in a home, starting with the attic and sealing up perforations, as well as installing solar powered attic insulation and ventilation systems.  Alpha Elements also manufactures the insulation and has worldwide patents.

Ron is a transplant – originally from San Diego, then Jupiter, FL, and he is enjoying making his home in the Buckhead area now and loves it.  And, he adds, “Business is five times better than I had anticipated, and I continue to see tremendous potential!”

Great news for Alpha Elements and we are glad they chose Powers Ferry Business Park.

Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc. Expands into 225 Curie Drive

Suburban Consulting Engineers, Inc (SCE), has two office locations in the State of New Jersey, including its office headquarters, and has recently become a multi-state firm with its Alpharetta, Georgia office at 225 Curie Drive, Suite 1300.

SCE is a full-service multi-disciplined engineering, geospatial, land surveying and landscape architecture firm representing various clients throughout the region including municipalities, counties, state agencies, community associations, private clients, developers, attorneys, schools and universities, utilities (water, wastewater and gas) and various other professionals.

“Our team is eager to continue growing and developing as a company by expanding our service areas throughout the United States and making relationships with new clients throughout the region,” said Leann Phil, Marketing Manager for SCE. “The purchase of our Georgia office was a thoughtful and strategic move made by our leadership team to allow for future business opportunities in a fast developing area.”

According to Leann, a variety of appealing characteristics of the location and area were the grounds for their decision making.  Alpharetta is one of the most sought out areas for business due to the improvements and infrastructure that was put into place over a decade ago to attract new business nation-wide.  The location at 225 Curie Drive offers all technology (cable, electric, etc.) needed for a technically advanced company.  Georgia 400 is located in good proximity to the office, allowing staff to travel easily to project sites and to commute from areas to the office.  And the actual building of 225 Curie Drive for their office space was chosen not only due to its location but also for the attributes of it being a storefront type building and equipped with a garage to store SCE’s equipment.

We’re happy Suburban Consulting Engineers chose 225 Curie Drive.
