Impact Custom Mouthguards moved into 225 Curie Drive, Suite 1300 in March (2022) and the team is enjoying its spacious 3,600 SF. Owner and Founder, Frank Rabinovitch, started the company in 2011 in an old house where they did all the manufacturing in-house. From there they moved into co-working space in downtown Alpharetta. They grew out of that space and are happy to be in their new headquarters on Curie Drive.
“We had a broker helping us find new space in a tight market,” said Rabinovitch. “We had talked to other landlords who were more standoffish. Once we found EpiCity, Tom quickly made himself readily available to talk with us and build out our space. The framing for the space was perfect for our needs, so EpiCity updated our offices and we moved in.”
The area includes four traditional offices and a big open space for shipping. Soon another part of the space will be the production lab and there is also room for the warehouse. A staff of six work from this office and there are another three employees and a lab in Ohio.
Rabinovitch is a lifelong hockey player and never liked wearing a mouthguard. He bought his first mouthguard 12 years ago for $200. He thought that was very expensive and set out to figure out a better, more cost-effective way to make and sell custom mouthguards for athletes. What started out as a problem where he found a solution has turned into an 11-year-old company that has grown into a solution for not only athletes, but also for people needing a custom mouthguard at night, too. The company is the official mouthguard of USA Boxing, UGA Hockey Ice Dawg, Georgia Tech, AFL Canada, and more. It has been the official mouthguard for USA Boxing in the last three Olympics.
“Our mouthguards are for anyone 8 – 60 years old and older who participate in sports or need a nightguard,” said Rabinovitch. “People simply order our mouthguards, that are from $44 – $99, and quickly receive an impression kit. The impression takes less than 3 minutes to set and they send it back to us. All in all, it’s about a 10 – 14-day process. And we love walk-ins, too!”
EpiCity is happy that Impact Custom Mouthguards has chosen 225 Curie Drive to be its home.
