Ray Muldrew, managing partner, purchased the Atlanta area territory of Shingle Magic. He then set out to find a commercial office space in Alpharetta for the company to call home. He found it at 1005 Alderman Drive in Alpharetta, at the time leased by ATIS Voice and Data Recording. ATIS had been there since 2012 and since then had changed its business model. The space was the perfect fit for Ray and his team.
The owner of ATIS set out to find a broker who could help them sublease the space. EpiCity responded quickly, found a tenant and that tenant is Shingle Magic Atlanta.
“We looked at a lot of office spaces, and this is the perfect location, near Windward Parkway,” said Ray.
Finding the Commercial Office Space in Alpharetta
The 4,500 SF office space houses five full-time staff and accommodates the 20-person installation crew. The company is growing, and all is going well, according to Ray. Starting as a roof rejuvenation company, it also offers full roof replacement and roof cleaning. Just recently, the company began selling and installing replacement vinyl windows. New customers have seen on average a 35% energy savings in the household.
As the company expands, Ray wants to remodel the layout of the office which would include a new marketing room, and a show room to show off the new vinyl window offerings and other products. Customers currently visit the space and with the new product line, they expect even more customers to come by the office.
Ray has been in the home improvement business for more than a decade, serving as a senior sales representative, vice president of sales and general manager. He was experience in anything from “She Sheds” to now roofing and vinyl windows, where 50% of Shingle Magic Atlanta’s business comes from word of mouth.
